Following a sell out run in Ballina, Beyond the Barricade comes to The Royal Theatre on Fri 16 & Sat 17th of January 2015.
Set against the backdrop of 19th-century France, Beyond The Barricade tells an enthralling story of broken dreams and unrequited love, passion, sacrifice and redemption - a timeless testament to the survival of the human spirit.
Ex-convict Jean Valjean (Patrick Lacken) is hunted for decades by the ruthless policeman Javert (Michael Slater) after he breaks parole. When Valjean agrees to care for factory worker Fantine’s (Tara Doherty) young daughter, Cosette, their lives change forever.
Featuring show stopping classics from the musical phenomenon that is Les Miserables including “I Dreamed A Dream”, “Bring Him Home”, “One Day More”,"Master of the House" and “On My Own” to name a few. This is a performance not to be missed. It boasts an impressively talented 80 strong cast called "Heroes for Hospice" based in Ballina and the surrounding areas and directed by Lavinia Gilmartin .
